Review of Fort Smith, Arkansas

Historic Homes, Good Neighbors
Star Rating - 3/8/2007
Fort Smith has one of the few remaining Trolley Neighborhoods in existence in the May-Lecta-Sweet neighborhood. It's been nominated to the National Historic Trust and the neighborhood residents are a wonderfully diverse group who come together to socialize, help each other restore their homes, keep out crime, and more. Homes that have not been restored sell for as low as $55K; restored homes are valued over $150K--two are valued at nearly $700K. A lot of homes have come open recently due to the passing of some of our loved residents. Most of us living in this neighborhood are between 35-60, nurses, architects, computer geeks, artists, teachers, professors, business owners/managers, chefs, etc. Several commute regularly to the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers area to work. Our only requests are neighbors who respect and love the old homes, respect and cherish their neighbors, and who will happily join our neighborhood watch group. We are just blocks from the main library, the main park, a 4-yr college, and only slightly farther than that from some of the main corporate offices, interstate access, shopping, hospitals, pharmacies, and grocery stores. We'd love to have you!
